Walls and Frames

November 3, 2010

If every word is but a brick
that houses round your soul,
make sure the walls are strong and thick
with not a crack or hole.

If every thought is but a frame
that shapes your residence,
then dwell on each and every claim
for rigid truthfulness.

Stone walls do not a prison make,
Nor iron bars a cage;
Minds founded on the Truth will take,
that for a heavenly wage.

(with apologies to Lovelace)
