dust and more dust

water in the miksvah draining

lower and lower

days upon days without rain

send the raing Father!

i let the thoughts of you float away

this is not the final wedding

but just the beginning for the kingdom has come

this is the ransom i pay, the honor and respect from the kingdoms of the world that is rightfully mine from birth

i relinquish, i let go of the power, the expectations to lead and instead

i will cling, and cleave to the cross, and bleed

swallow the pain of letting my love for you die

swallow the pain of misunderstanding.

To be sinless is to suffer them.

To leave behind the miksvah.

Fill the ceremonial jars, with water, and i will fill them with wine,

my own blood. Drink, and be glad,

and be washed.

I let go of this lesser joy for the greater one.
