Interesting Factoid

May 17, 2009

I ran into the following interesting factoid.  I cannot google whether there has been any credible research to back this up, so take it or leave it.

We retain 10% of what we read, 20% of what we hear, 30% of what we see, 50% of what we see and hear, 70% of what we say, and 90% of what we say and do.

If there’s any bit of truth to that, then we must not be hearers of the word only, but also doers.  We must live out the Gospel, while alo speaking the words.  We must read the word, listen to it, and say it to ourselves and do it.

If you find yourself in a pit of unhappiness, perhaps you have forgotten who you are.  If you are a Christian, have called yourself a follower of Christ in the past, but have found yourself waning in your faith, then perhaps you need to remember more than learn new things.
