You wish that you can feel again

April 14, 2009

You wish that you can feel again,
the things that made you laugh.
The things that may have caused you pain,
all buried in the past.

You wish that you can cry again,
be broken, cut and bruised.
Your eyes are dry, no tear remains.
Your heart has hardened too.

Oh, unkind word, that has led
unto a such a death!
‘Tis here that marks the place it bled
until its final breath.

Estranged upon forsaken groves
are corpses of that love.
Yet on that resurrection day
it shall but love again.
